Chief Financial Strategist

Chilworth Partnership Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Chief Financial Strategist to join their team. As a key member of the organization, this individual will play a crucial role in driving business growth and success.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, with experience in developing and implementing company strategy, including the preparation of rolling forecasts, budgets, and long-range strategic plans. They will also have a proven track record of structuring finance departments for business growth, identifying new efficiencies, and guiding efforts towards improved reporting.

Responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing company strategy, including the preparation of rolling forecasts, budgets, and long-range strategic plans.
• Structuring the finance department for business growth, identifying new efficiencies, and guiding efforts towards improved reporting.
• Producing management accounts, including journal postings, variance analysis, and associated commentary.
• Working with external accountants to ensure statutory requirements are met.
• Supporting M&A activities through acquisition modelling, due diligence, and integration support where necessary.
• Monitoring and managing cash balances, cash flow forecasting, and invoice discounting.
• Developing strategies to increase company profitability and value.

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant, holding an ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification, with experience of being in a hands-on, leadership role within an SME environment. They will also have experience of recruiting and managing a small team, as well as influencing and challenging leadership teams with useful financial data to support arguments.
