Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Music Teacher to join our dynamic Performing Arts department at Wayman Learning Trust.

The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for music education, qualified teacher status (QTS), and a high level of musical proficiency. They will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated Music lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, as well as contributing to the planning and delivery of a dynamic and enriching Music curriculum.

About the Role

This full-time permanent position commencing in January 2025 offers an exceptional opportunity to nurture musical talent and contribute to a vibrant and enriching learning environment. As a Music Teacher at Wayman Learning Trust, you will have the chance to work alongside a dedicated and passionate team of Music educators, providing individual instrumental tuition to students and leading school ensembles such as choirs, orchestras, and bands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and differentiated Music lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, fostering a love of music and developing students' musical skills and appreciation.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of a dynamic and enriching Music curriculum that encompasses a variety of musical genres, styles, and traditions.
  • Direct and rehearse school ensembles, preparing them for performances and competitions.
  • Provide individual instrumental tuition to students, nurturing their musical talents and supporting their progress.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Musical Expertise: A high level of musical proficiency, with experience in performing, composing, and arranging music.
