Job Description

**Senior Quantity Surveyor - Commercial Expert**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic Commercial team in Exeter. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing financial control for exciting projects and taking on key accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage projects and work packages, ensuring accurate cost control and financial management.
  • Liaise with design, construction, and supply chain teams to capture, analyze, and control costs.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure business requirements are met, and contractual notices and correspondence are identified and raised as necessary.
  • Prepare and issue subcontract documentation, manage subcontractors, and assist in the management and performance of subcontractors.
  • Manage the preparation and agreement of applications for payment, and prepare project cost and value reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Assist in the management and development of junior commercial staff, and ensure continuous professional development by participating in external networking, conferences, associations, and groups.
  • Maintain a positive and solution-oriented approach to work, providing open and honest feedback, and undertake such other duties, training, and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • Working towards or have chartered membership of a recognized institution.
  • Experience with a main contractor in utilities, civil engineering, or MEICA sector.
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts.
