About the Role
  • The primary responsibility is to teach a class of students, planning and preparing courses, schemes of work, and individual lessons tailored to meet the needs, interests, experience, and existing knowledge of the pupils.
  • Towards this end, the successful applicant must have high standards for their pupils and a history of good teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and prepare courses, schemes of work, and individual lessons, appropriate to the needs, interests, experience, and existing knowledge of the pupils in your class.
  • Teach a class, or classes, sets, groups, or individual pupils, and set tasks to be undertaken both at school and elsewhere.
  • Mark and assess pupils' work and record their development, progress, and attainment.
  • Maintain an attractive and stimulating classroom environment and contribute to displays in the school.
  • Evaluate and review your own teaching methods, materials, and schemes of work, and make changes as appropriate.
What You Will Need to Succeed
  • Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Experience in whole-class teaching over a sustained period.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and experience in planning, delivering, and assessing the National Curriculum.
  • Understanding of the principles of child protection in a primary school.

Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
