About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic English Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a key member of our academic support team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality educational experiences for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Support: Assist in the delivery of English language and literature lessons, providing support to students with reading, writing, and comprehension tasks.
  • Targeted Assistance: Work with students one-on-one or in small groups to provide extra support where needed, helping them to overcome challenges and excel academically.
  • Resource Development: Aid in the preparation of lesson materials and resources to ensure smooth and effective teaching.
  • Student Mentorship: Act as a mentor and positive role model, encouraging students in their academic and personal development.
  • Progress Tracking: Help monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers, contributing to the development of tailored support strategies.

Requirements:

  • A degree in English or a related field.
  • A strong passion for education and a desire to help students succeed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with students of varying abilities.
  • Prior experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is advantageous but not essential.
