About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transport Administrator to join our team at Connect2Dorset. As a key member of our transport department, you will play a crucial role in managing transport schedules, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional customer service to our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage transport schedules and coordinate with internal and external parties to ensure seamless operations
  • Maintain accurate records of activities, including data entry and reporting
  • Provide administrative support to the transport team, including answering calls and emails
  • Utilize Microsoft Office, Teams, and internal software applications to perform tasks efficiently
  • Conduct route evaluations using mapping software to assess transport suitability
  • Handle initial complaints and escalate them to senior team members when necessary
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • BTEC National Certificate, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent qualifications
  • Experience and knowledge within the role's responsibilities, including standards, procedures, and health & safety
  • Office experience, data analysis, IT proficiency, and Health & Safety application
  • Strong communication, deadline management, and problem-solving skills
  • Team player with numeric proficiency and adaptability, maintaining composure in varied situations and fulfilling travel requirements
