Software Development Engineer

Williams Racing is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our Digital Performance Technologies (DPT) department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a suite of data analysis tools to support our aerodynamic performance and correlation efforts.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop software solutions to analyze and visualize data from various sources, including track, wind tunnel, and CFD environments.
- Collaborate with our performance and data science groups to deliver complete software solutions that meet the needs of our team.
- Work with our Aero Performance team to research, develop, and implement innovative software solutions to improve our aerodynamic performance.
- Write well-structured, maintainable code, following and championing coding standards as defined by the DPT software and development team.
- Learn and adopt the technologies and tools defined by the DPT software and development team, research, and POC new ideas for potential introduction to the group.
- Degree in Computer Science or Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Software Engineering (or equivalent).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, Julia, and C#.
- Experience with database technologies, including SQL Server, MySQL, and NoSQL.
- Knowledge of software process management tools and source control, such as Azure DevOps and Git.
- Proven track record of developing software following agile or similar working practices.
