Key Responsibilities- Work outdoors in a small team to support essential maintenance of the rail network
- Develop technical skills across a range of manual, electrical, and digital equipment
- Specialize in Signalling & Telecoms, working with equipment including signals, level crossings, and points systems
- Transport kit across challenging terrain and work in demanding manual conditions
- Provide lookout duties to ensure the safety of the team and the public
- Teamworking: ability to work closely with the team to deliver safe and efficient work delivery
- Communication: good communication skills to work safely and effectively
- Proactive planning: punctuality, having the van and equipment ready, and anticipating the needs of the team
- Working under pressure: ability to remain calm under pressure while working outdoors in all conditions
- Following rules and instructions: understanding and respect for rules, with confidence to challenge if a situation is unsafe
- Willingness to learn: consistent development of skills and competencies relevant to the discipline
- 35 hours per week contract with hybrid working and flexible working options
- 5 days paid volunteering leave
- 2 weeks paid reserve leave for the Armed Forces community
