About the Role
As Operations Director, you will report to the Board of Directors and be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating operational activities. Your focus will be on optimizing workforce productivity and business performance, overseeing more than 4 direct reports, and managing all facets of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Lead a team of experienced professionals to achieve business objectives and ensure timely delivery of builds.
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors to set business strategy and direction.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize build hours, reduce schedule cycles, and ensure first-time quality execution.
- Manage business finance and develop financial plans to support business growth.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have commercial experience since leaving the forces and a strong maritime background from an engineering discipline from the Royal Navy or similar. You will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to present to the Board of Directors and negotiate with stakeholders.
