Job Summary

This role is a key part of our catering team, providing quality services to patients and staff. The successful candidate will work across the kitchen, dining room, retail outlet, and wards, ensuring seamless meal delivery and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver patient meals, including breakfast, lunch, and supper, based on regeneration at central points with a ward-based service.
  • Provide staff/visitors meals within the retail outlet.
  • Assist with basic food preparation, general support, cleaning, meal picking and packing, and meal distribution functions.
  • Monitor patient pantry provisions on the ward and clinical areas, replenishing as required.

Working Arrangements

The shift pattern for this position is 0930 to 1430, Monday to Friday.

Eligibility Criteria

NHS Scotland Working Hours

We are introducing a reduced working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week, starting from 1 April 2024. This reduction will apply pro rata for part-time staff.
