Care and Support Advocate for Young People

We are seeking a Bank Residential Support Worker to join our team at Alcedo Care. As a Bank Support Worker, you will work with a dedicated team to provide care and support to the children and young people in our homes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Building strong relationships: With the children and young people in our care, and their families.
- Supporting daily living needs: Assisting the children with their daily living needs in accordance with their care plans and risk assessments.
- Maintaining accurate records: Recording events, observations, progress, child protection matters, and health and safety checks.
- Collaborating with professionals: Working closely with social workers, therapists, teachers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for each child.
- Facilitating family involvement: Facilitating supervised contacts with the young people's families as necessary.

Requirements- NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Residential Child Care or the willingness to enrol on the level 4 after the probationary period.
- Previous experience in a similar residential care role working with children but this is not essential. However, we would look for transferable skills and qualities to ensure you would be effective within this role.
- Ability to work 24-hour shifts as per the shift pattern.

- Strong record-keeping and organisational abilities.
