About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Dental Nurse to join our team in the Head and Neck outpatients department. As a key member of our nursing team, you will work alongside a team of highly skilled dental nurses in the specialist areas of orthodontics and maxillofacial surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide chair-side nursing assistance in orthodontic operative procedures and assist surgeons in oral and maxillofacial minor oral surgery operations.
  • Organise the efficient running of new patient and review clinics in orthodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and assist in ENT outpatients.
  • Prepare and decontaminate instruments, handle fine tools, and provide patients with pre and post-operative care during surgery.
  • Supervise trainee and unqualified staff as required in the department.
  • Be accountable for own professional actions under General Dental Council guidelines.

Requirements
  • National Dental Nurse Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Oral Care.
  • Oral Health Education Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Registered GDC.
  • Post-qualification experience in specialist areas.
