Job Description

We're currently seeking a skilled iOS Lead Developer to join our team in a product-centric role, helping us achieve our mission of making investing easier for everyone.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating award-winning apps, delivering high-quality code, and ensuring the best possible user experience. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for leading a strong iOS development team, improving our modularised frameworks, and understanding and improving our CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and engage a strong iOS development team to push our mobile platform forward.
  2. Support the improvement of our modularised frameworks between internal iOS development projects.
  3. Understand and improve our CI/CD pipelines from development through to release.
  4. Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code and beautiful products.
  5. Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable code using SwiftUI, Swift, and Objective-C.
  6. Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
  7. Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
  8. Help maintain code quality, organisation, and automation.
  9. Collaborate with other engineers and developers to improve collaboration between iOS and Android development teams.
  10. Ensure all duties are carried out with the aim of protecting customers and improving the customer experience.

Requirements:

  • Strong commercial experience in native mobile development.
  • Experience in developing consumer-facing, high-performance iOS applications using SwiftUI, Swift, and Objective-C.
  • Strong knowledge of iOS SDK and all its components.
  • Understanding of design patterns and SOLID principles.
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services.
  • Knowledge of the open-source iOS ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks.
  • Knowledge of Kotlin.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Understanding of iOS design principles and interface guidelines.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
