Automation Engineer Job Opportunity

Samuel Frank Associates is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join their team in Cumbria. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PLC programming and fault-finding, as well as experience with system and electrical drawings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the engineering team with PLC and systems fault finding and rectification
  • Identify root causes of system and PLC faults
  • Develop and maintain site electrical drawings and schematics
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement projects and process improvements
  • Assess risks related to control systems and develop contingency plans
  • Design and implement new PLC programs and software updates
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure plant and equipment are maintained to agreed standards
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming and fault-finding
  • Experience with system and electrical drawings
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the engineering team
  • Desirable skills: COMPEX knowledge, hydraulics, and pneumatics
