About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CBT/DBT Therapist to join our team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. As a specialist in third-wave CBT psychological therapies, you will work with individuals with difficulties consistent with a personality disorder and at high risk, and their families and friends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake psychological assessments and develop detailed formulations for complex clients.
  • Participate in the ongoing development of service policies and procedures to ensure a safe and effective service.
  • Participate in weekly supervision and ongoing training.
  • Provide consultation and advice to members of own team and other teams on psychological therapy models of understanding of personality disorder.
  • Provide consultation and advice on risk assessment and risk management of clients with personality disorder to members of own team and other teams.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • BABCP accreditation (may be provisional).
  • Previous experience of working in the NHS or other large organisation.
  • Understanding of the needs and difficulties of people with personality disorder.
  • Experience of developing and sustaining partnership working with individuals and across organisations.
  • Skills in the running of group-based psychological therapy interventions.
