Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Criminology graduate to join our team at Academics as a Youth Worker in a challenging school setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for working with young people and a commitment to restorative practices, mental health, and education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement restorative practices to promote positive behavior and relationships among students
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to provide mental health support and education to students
  • Design and deliver training programs to promote gang prevention and youth empowerment
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized plans to support students with trauma and mental health needs
  • Work closely with parents and guardians to ensure student success and well-being

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Criminology or related field
  • Experience working with at-risk youth and in challenging school settings
  • Strong knowledge of restorative practices, mental health, and education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
