Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding role that combines technical expertise with leadership skills? As a Product Safety Manager at BAE Systems, you will be responsible for supporting the development and delivery of our submarine programmes, working closely with the Engineering Delivery Manager to ensure that Products are safe to own and legal to operate.

The estimated salary for this position is £82,500 - £108,000 per year, depending on skills and experience.

You will be part of a dynamic team that works together to deliver innovative solutions for our customers. With a strong focus on safety and quality, you will contribute to the success of our SSNA Combat System programme and help us maintain our position as a leading global defence company.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within BAE Systems, working collaboratively with a team of engineers on major development programmes. You will also have the chance to influence the progress of different projects within the programme and develop your leadership skills.

We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering safety management processes, including hazard analysis and logical safety arguments. They will also have previous experience creating justification reports and be familiar with safety engineering principles and processes.

The following are desirable skills and qualifications:

  • Systems engineering tools and techniques (e.g. DOORS, Enterprise Architect)
  • Worked in a defence or other complex systems environment involving software products
  • Familiarity with JIRA
