Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Forensics Officer to join our team at West Mercia Police. As a key member of our Digital Forensic unit, you will play a critical role in providing a high-quality analytical and evidential service to support digital investigations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct forensic analysis of computers, mobile devices, cloud, vehicle, and other electronic devices to support digital investigations.
  • Provide expert advice and assistance to investigators and prosecutors on digital forensic investigative strategies.
  • Collaborate with other investigators, prosecutors, and external agencies to provide a comprehensive response to digital investigations.
  • Maintain and adhere to quality standards, including ISO 17025/17020 and the Forensic Science Regulators (FSR) Codes of practice.
Requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a laboratory environment and on-scene.
  • Knowledge of digital forensics and electronic evidence analysis.
