Production Supervisor Opportunity

Are you a seasoned leader with a passion for manufacturing and a strong understanding of fermentation processes? We are seeking a highly experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at a globally operating chemical manufacturer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of 4 employees, including Fermentation Technicians and an operator, and conduct performance assessments and development.
  • Ensure ESHQ compliance in fermentation and infrastructure areas, including risk assessments and SOPs.
  • Prioritize and plan operational tasks, authorizing vacation time and assigning tasks to employees for efficient and stable manufacture.
  • Review and update risk assessments and SOPs.
  • Attend weekly maintenance meetings to prioritize essential tasks for engineering and ensure effective manufacture and engineering.
Requirements:
  • Education to A-level standard (including at least one scientific subject) or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Biotech, or Chemicals.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of plant machinery and equipment, such as pumps, mixers, and valves.
  • Familiarity with lean and modern manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to work accurately in a time-targeted and high-pressure environment without close supervision, with the ability to motivate others.
