Physics Educator for Girls' School in Kingston-upon-Thames

We are seeking an exceptional Physics Educator to join our esteemed independent day and boarding school for girls aged 11-18. Our stunning garden campus in Kingston-upon-Thames offers a unique opportunity to inspire young minds and contribute to a gold standard of education through the IB curriculum.
As a Physics Educator, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and curriculum-aligned Physics lessons, cultivating curiosity and academic success. You will work closely with our experienced Science Department to support lesson planning, delivery, and assessments, and support the holistic development of each student, adapting teaching strategies to inspire all learners in their academic journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Physics lessons, promoting contextual understanding for students in physics and beyond.
- Collaborate with the Science Department to develop and implement effective lesson plans, assessments, and strategies to support student learning.
- Support the development of each student, adapting teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
We are seeking an individual with a 2:1 or 1st-class degree in Physics (or a related field) from a top 20 UK university. Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, or group mentoring, with a genuine passion for inspiring young learners, is essential. You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
