Care Assistant for Older People

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Lancashire County Council. As a key member of our care staff, you will play a vital role in supporting older people to live their lives with dignity and independence.
About the RoleThis part-time position involves working 24 hours per week, with varied shifts across two weeks. You will be based at one of our 16 Care Homes or 13 Day Centres, where you will provide support to adults living with dementia and their families.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a caring attitude, and a passion for delivering high-quality care. We offer comprehensive training and development opportunities to ensure you work competently against the standards of The Care Certificate.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care and support to residents
- Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and medication management
- Encourage social interaction and engagement in activities
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment

To be considered for this role, you will need:
- GCSEs in English and maths (or equivalent)
- Experience in a care setting (desirable but not essential)
- Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Passion for delivering high-quality care and making a positive difference to people's lives
