Grounds Maintenance Manager

The Groundskeeper Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of the campus grounds, ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for students, faculty, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and operate various grounds maintenance equipment, including power mowers, trimmers, chain saws, and hand tools.
- Perform proper planting techniques for flowers and shrubberies, and spread mulch as required.
- Trim hedges, shrubbery, and trees as needed, and spread seasonal grass seeds and fertilizer.
- Assist in preparation of grounds for special events and activities, and edge all sidewalks and curbs within assigned areas.
- Inspect and report on equipment and vehicles, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Operate light-medium size pick-up trucks to maintain grounds, transport equipment, tools, supplies, and trash as required.
- High school education and 5 years' experience in supervising institutional grounds maintenance or equivalent Green Industry background.
- Valid driver's license with good driving record and must be insurable.
- Ability to safely and independently lift up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in grounds and landscape management with various lawn care equipment and machinery experience.
The Groundskeeper Manager will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, humidity, and precipitation.
The successful candidate will be required to work independently and as part of a team to maintain the highest standards of grounds maintenance and upkeep.
