An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Ward Manager to work in a leading hospital in the UK. As a key member of the nursing team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to adult patients and developing therapeutic relationships to optimize patient engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the nursing team and managing shifts to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Providing exceptional care to adult patients and promoting a culture of learning and development
  • Mentoring and supporting student nurses and other team members to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Contributing to patient assessments, compiling care plans, and monitoring patient progress
  • Ensuring compliance with codes of conduct, standards, and legislation, and promoting ethical practice
  • Developing a culture of learning from lessons on the ward and encouraging delivery of a professional service
  • Leading by example and being a positive role model for the team
  • Collaborating with patients and carers to deliver care and treatment
  • Providing direction, support, and guidance to staff, ensuring regular supervisions and quality care delivery

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Post-registration qualification of at least 3 years
  • Experience in acute adult services, preferably in a supervisory role
  • Recognized mentoring certificate and ability to assess and teach junior staff
  • Proven ability to coordinate care, prioritize tasks, and manage Health & Safety issues
  • Drive to learn and develop, with a commitment to patient-centered care and values-based practice
  • Flexible, positive, and team-oriented approach

The successful Ward Manager will receive a competitive salary of £45,668 per annum, along with a range of benefits, including a £5,000 welcome bonus, 25 days' annual leave, and a contributory pension scheme.
