High Speed Camera and CMM Technician

We are seeking a skilled Crash Lab High Speed Camera and Co-ordinate Measurement Machine (CMM/FARO) technician to join our dynamic team at an exciting time for the Crash Laboratory.

The ideal candidate would be a self-motivated, keen and hard-working individual with a passion for vehicles and crash testing.

The role requires someone to work with a world-class team of technicians setting up high-speed cameras and taking 3D CMM measurements of vehicles and ATD positions for crash tests.

Typical tasks would include:

  • Preparing vehicles for crash testing by fitting onboard high-speed cameras and taking 3D co-ordinate measurements using a CMM/FARO arm.
  • Setting up and running high-speed offboard and onboard cameras.
  • Performing static 3D measurements of ATDs and vehicle structures.
  • Crash test data and test execution responsible for these areas.
  • Taking of digital stills.

The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail and organisation skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic and ever-changing environment, multi-task and adapt to customer and business needs.

Please note that this is a 39-hour position working Monday-Thursday 0800-1645 with a 45-minute lunch and Friday 0800-1545 with a 45-minute lunch. There may be a requirement to work some shifts to meet customer and business needs.
