About the Job

We require an experienced metalworker to work on various projects in Barrow, Cumbria.

The ideal candidate will have experience in fabricating, assembling, and installing metal items, as well as working with welding and fabrication equipment.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package, including:

  • Local (3 on 4 off): £23.28 per hour
  • Local (Nightshift): £25.80 per hour
  • Non-Local (3 on 4 off): £40.55 per hour + £8 travel allowance (for candidates 40+ miles from site)
  • Non-Local (Nightshift): £43.76 per hour
Job Requirements
  • Fabricate, assemble, and install metal items to meet project requirements.
  • Use welding and fabrication equipment on Astute and/or Dreadnought class submarines during construction.
  • Work with pipe protection, Glam plates, and small support systems, including bunk spaces.
