Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Probate Paralegal to join our team in the Biggleswade office. The successful candidate will assist fee earners working in our probate department, providing legal and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including case management and bundling.
  2. Conduct comprehensive research, drafting and writing documents as required.
  3. Arrange and attend client meetings, ensuring excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Support the team in marketing our services and networking, promoting the firm's reputation.
  5. Assist colleagues and supervisors in fee-earning matters, providing administrative support.

Requirements:

  1. Proven typing skills, with the ability to work efficiently under dictation.
  2. Experience as a Paralegal within a law firm, ideally in a probate environment.
  3. Ability to follow financial guidelines, including Solicitors Accounts Rules and cash flow control.
  4. Excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills, with a high level of discretion.
  5. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with case management systems.
  7. Good drafting and writing skills, with excellent communication and technical ability.
