Job Title: Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurse

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is seeking an experienced Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurse to join their team in Morecambe, Lancashire.

About the Role:

This is a locum opportunity within the Memory Assessment Service, where you will work as an independent specialist practitioner, ensuring effective assessment, planning, consultation, and formulation towards an accurate diagnosis.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Apply specialist knowledge and understanding of strategies and interventions in the treatment of dementia.
  • Confidently identify and manage risk factors, taking appropriate action when required.
  • Facilitate communication between GPs, LCFT services, and non-statutory organisations to ensure the highest possible standards of patient care.
  • Provide mentoring and clinical supervision to other staff members and trainees on placement.
  • Actively promote the Trust's values within the MAS service, in accordance with the NMC and HPC codes of conduct.
  • Assist the team manager in providing effective leadership within the MAS team, ensuring thorough assessment, formulation, planning, and monitoring of care delivered to patients and their carers.
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing.
  • Proven experience as a Registered Mental Health Nurse.
  • Valid NMC Registration.
