A high-growth, private equity-backed security services company in London is seeking a Senior Brand Strategist to lead customer insights and brand building.

Job Overview

This new role focuses on strategic leadership, messaging and content creation, media relations, and budget management within the growing marketing team. As a Senior Brand Strategist, you will play a key part in shaping the category of monitored, intervention-based alarm services and positioning the brand as a market leader.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Determine core drivers to build the monitored alarm services category and position the brand as a market leader.
    • Deliver consumer insights with data-driven decisions and empathy for human behaviors behind the numbers.
    • Develop and implement brand communication strategies aligned with the company's overall marketing objectives.
    • Define current and long-term goals for the Brand, Consumer Insights, and Communications teams.
  • Messaging and Content Creation:
    • Develop clear messages that build on identified core drivers.
    • Owning end-to-end insights delivery from various data sources, identifying and gathering data, analyzing it, and crafting messaging and content strategy.
    • Collaborating with the Group Brand team to ensure alignment on wider company goals while delivering local success stories.
    • Ensuring consistency in brand messaging across all platforms and adherence to brand guidelines.
    • Creating compelling brand messages that resonate with target audiences.
    • Overseeing the development of content, including press releases, website copy, social media posts, and marketing materials.
    • Aligning internal stakeholders with the brand's communication strategies and messaging.
    • Promoting a consistent internal brand culture.
  • Media Relations and Public Relations:
    • Building and maintaining relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
    • Developing and executing public relations campaigns to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
    • Overseeing the company's organic social media presence and strategizing content and engagement campaigns.
  • Budget & Team Management:
    • Managing budget for brand communications campaigns, allocating resources efficiently.
    • Recruiting, hiring, and training the Brand, Consumer Insights, and Communications teams, fostering collaboration between teams and departments.
Requirements
  • 5-7 years' experience in branding, with a strong track record in category-shaping roles.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a Mathematics or Science field, with Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or Business Management preferred.
  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong knowledge of advanced Market Research & Data Analysis techniques.
  • Highly analytical to distill data into information and recommendations.
  • Experience in handling high quantities of data to extract insights.
  • Experience in data science projects such as regression models, decision trees, etc.
  • Demonstrating initiative and ownership of tasks and projects.
Salary

We offer an estimated salary of £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience, to drive business growth and success.

Location

The role is based in London, UK.
