Principal Optical Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Optical Engineer to join our team in Oxfordshire. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development of optical sensing systems from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement optical sensing systems
  • Lead a team of engineers in the design and development of optical devices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in optics and signal processing

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of optics and fibre optics
  • Experience with signal processing and algorithms
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis and LabVIEW for test equipment control
  • Previous experience in a laboratory environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
