Job Summary:

We are seeking an Academic Mentorship Professional to join our team as a Student Support Mentor. The successful candidate will work within our pastoral team to provide support for young people who are presenting challenging behaviour or who are finding it difficult to access mainstream lessons.

This position is maternity cover, with the potential to continue in the setting after this.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate attendance records and address absences promptly.
  • Prepare and develop resources for coaching and learning support.
  • Keep detailed records to support student progress.
  • Track student progress using behaviour data.
  • Use diverse strategies to boost academic growth, confidence, and self-esteem.
  • Enforce child protection, health and safety, confidentiality, and data protection policies.
  • Tackle unexpected challenges efficiently, seeking help when needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of working with young people.
  • Ability to work with students with additional support needs.
  • The ability to collaborate within a team to work towards positive student outcomes.

Working Conditions:

This role will be based at Long Eaton, Derbyshire, and requires regular attendance during school hours.

Salary: £100 per day
