Teaching Assistant Opportunity
Leader Recruitment Group is partnering with a renowned Therapeutic Education Service provider to recruit passionate Teaching Assistants. We have an exceptional opportunity available in a SEND environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor and support learners, providing curriculum-based support both in the classroom and through home tuition, outreach, and outdoor activities.
- Prepare and deliver learning materials, contributing to achieving learning objectives with a strong emphasis on behavioural management.
- Track progress and maintain daily reports on learners' progress, addressing any barriers to learning.
- Engage with families, regularly communicating and interacting with parents and caregivers to ensure a holistic approach to education.
Ideal Candidate:
- Demonstrates a committed and passionate approach to supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- A minimum of two years' experience in a SEND environment or similar educational setting.
- A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is advantageous.

About the School
We offer a bespoke educational provision in a nurturing environment for our secondary age students (Y7 - post 16) who are all in care of the local authority. We operate on two sites, with a safe and caring space for students to express feelings, emotions, and anxieties that can be barriers to learning. We also offer specialist vocational learning spaces, designated teaching rooms, and outdoor learning opportunities.
To meet the diverse needs of the students at our college, we ensure an adequate staff to pupil ratio, with typically a class comprising of no more than 4 pupils. Each class is staffed to support all needs. As a school, we value each staff member and have a belief in supporting everyone with professional development.
