We are currently seeking an experienced Financial Risk Analyst to join our team in Scotland. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract opportunity for two talented individuals to work closely with our Individual Life and Pensions Pricing Team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of key metrics used in the ongoing pricing of existing propositions managed by Individual Life and Pensions. This includes active pricing of PruFund Capital Guarantees, PruFund Cost of Smoothing reviews, Value for Money analysis, new business capital monitoring, and compliance with the Minimum Pricing Frameworks.

The role also involves collaborating with key stakeholders, including Proposition, With-Profits Actuary Team, Chief Actuary Team, and Risk. Effective working relationships with these teams will be crucial in driving business growth and ensuring seamless operations.

To succeed in this position, you should have experience in model development using Excel and VBA. Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commercial mindset are essential in distilling complex ideas into simple, effective plans and solutions.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in actuarial roles, preferably in life insurance or pensions
  • Experience in developing and maintaining financial models using Excel and VBA
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
