Event Manager Wanted for Pet Show in London

We are seeking an experienced Events Manager to oversee the organization of a large pet show in London, expected to attract over 20,000 attendees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in events management and be passionate about working with animals.

This is a home-based role with occasional travel to London for meetings and visits to other pet shows across the country. As the Event Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the event, from planning and logistics to execution and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive event plan, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, and marketing.
  • Manage and coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
  • Oversee event staffing, including hiring and training staff as needed.
  • Budget management: estimate costs and manage expenses to achieve optimal results.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in events management, preferably with large-scale consumer trade shows.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detailed knowledge of event planning, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Pet lover or animal enthusiast.
