About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Children's Complex Care Assistant to join our team at Advantage Healthcare Limited. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality care and support to children with complex needs, including tracheostomy, ventilation, and suctioning.


Key Responsibilities

**Providing Personal Care**: You will be responsible for providing personal care to children with complex needs, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.


**Tracheostomy and Ventilation Care**: You will be trained to provide tracheostomy and ventilation care, including suctioning and managing ventilation equipment.


**Supporting Complex Needs**: You will work with children who have complex needs, including spinal cord injuries, muscular dystrophy, and acquired brain injuries.


**Collaborating with the Care Team**: You will work closely with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each child.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:


  • Previous experience in childcare with tracheostomy, peg feeding, ventilation, and suctioning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Compassion and empathy for children with complex needs
