We are seeking a highly skilled Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a leading organisation in the print industry. As a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining efficiency in all areas of the factory, including reactive and planned maintenance with industrial manufacturing machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reactive Maintenance on automated production machinery
  • Pre-planned Maintenance (PPM) - Input to and carry out preventive maintenance routines
  • Mechanical fault finding
  • Electrical fault finding with and without diagrams (three phase and control systems)
  • Fault finding and repair on hydraulic or pneumatic systems
  • Contributing to cost-effective technical solutions
  • Be part of a weekend call-out rota
  • Maintain and increase machine efficiencies re: OEE
  • Unplanned Downtime Reduction
  • Root Cause Analysis
  • Component Failure Analysis and MTBF used for predictive and preventative planning.
Requirements:
  • A relevant recognised engineering qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering to a level of City and Guilds level 3/ NVQ level 3
  • Experience working in a small team and must have an aptitude for dealing with mechanical/electrical works, breakdowns, repairs, and fault diagnosis
  • Strong mechanical skills to repair machinery to keep downtime to a minimum
  • Strong electrical fault-finding skills, particularly on PLCs, drives, and inverters
  • Excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering diagrams
  • Pneumatic skills and experience
  • Knowledge of HV/LV Switchgear and electrical drives
  • Understanding of PLCs, their function and program modification/fault finding (Electrical)
Desirable Skills:
  • Apprentice trained to ONC/HNC level or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • 18th Edition qualified
  • Hydraulic knowledge would be advantageous
  • Strong Continuous Improvement Experience
  • Print background, but not essential
