About the Role

Chanel, Inc. is seeking an IT ESG Data Solutions Architect to oversee the design, development, and management of data products. The successful candidate will ensure that the underlying data architecture supports these products effectively.

Main Responsibilities

  • Define the vision and strategy for data products in alignment with business goals.
  • Develop a roadmap for data product development and lifecycle management.
  • Gather and prioritize requirements from stakeholders for data products.
  • Design scalable and efficient data architectures to support ESG data products.
  • Create and maintain data models, schemas, and data integration processes.
  • Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, developers, and local Chanel entities to build and enhance data products.
  • Oversee the implementation of ETL processes to integrate data from various sources.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability throughout the data pipeline.
  • Ensure that data products meet quality standards and performance benchmarks.
  • Coordinate testing and validation activities for data products.
  • Monitor the performance of data products and underlying data architecture.
  • Ensure that data governance policies are adhered to within data products and architecture.
  • Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of data product specifications and architectural designs.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with data architecture design and implementation.
  • Proficiency in data technologies, data modeling, and ETL tools; knowledge of Microsoft Fabric is a plus.
  • Knowledge of data visualization and business intelligence tools.
  • Understanding of statistical methods and data analysis techniques.
  • English will be the main working language; proficiency in other languages, especially French, is a plus.

About the Team

The IT ESG Solutions Data Architect will report to the IT Domain Lead for ESG and work closely with stakeholders in the Sustainability performance department, the global data governance team, the federated data platform team, and the team implementing our new ESG performance reporting tool.
