Maintenance Technician

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Operative to join our team at High Street Surgery. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive maintenance and repair service to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff.
Main Responsibilities
Carry out a range of tasks including basic joinery, plumbing, painting, and general building work to maintain the practice grounds and facilities.
Comply with safe working practices and report faulty equipment and potential hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
Check fire alarm points weekly, including fire exits, doors, and emergency lights, and ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.
Requirements
Experience in all types of painting and decorating in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Ability to communicate at all levels and record detailed, accurate maintenance information.
Skilled at DIY and general maintenance.
Friendly, conscientious, and an excellent team member with a positive attitude.
Able to problem solve and work using your own initiative.
Desirable Qualifications
Level 2 Diploma qualified in Painting & Decorating/Maintenance or Level 2 Diploma In Building Maintenance Multi-Trade Repair And Refurbishment Operations - Handyman.
