Job Role Overview

Pentagon Motor Group is seeking a qualified Vehicle Technician to join their team at Sheffield Kia and Vauxhall dealership.

As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing vehicles in a safe and economical manner, employing your skills and knowledge as required, including diagnosing faults with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Observe, recognize, and report vehicle or component defects or symptoms of impending failure.
  • Examine vehicles completely and report on their condition, safety, and reliability, and performance (MOT).
  • Protect vehicles under repair against damage and inspect each vehicle for damage and cleanliness upon completion of repair.
  • Attend recognized courses of instruction as required, and assist in the training of apprentices upon assignment.
  • Ensure all service and maintenance sheets, customer defect reports, manufacturer paperwork, and electronic documentation are fully completed and signed off.

Requirements

  • A minimum Level 3 City and Guilds (or equivalent) in Vehicle Repair.
  • Experience in diagnostics and using computers.
  • A full, UK driving license.
  • A positive attitude with a right-first-time mentality.
  • A strong team player mentality.
  • The ability to work to a very high standard.
  • Good communication skills.
  • A willingness to learn and develop.
