Real Estate Planning Associate Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Planning Associate to join our team at Douglas Scott Legal Recruitment. As a Planning Associate, you will work alongside leading Planning lawyers advising on landmark projects across a diverse range of sectors.
The successful candidate will be required to provide guidance on planning and environmental matters related to real estate, corporate, and financing transactions. This includes conducting due diligence, preparing comprehensive reports, and negotiating key contractual provisions such as planning and environmental warranties, indemnities, and conditions precedent and subsequent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice on planning and environmental matters related to real estate, corporate, and financing transactions.
- Conduct due diligence and prepare comprehensive reports on planning and environmental issues.
- Negotiate key contractual provisions related to planning and environmental matters.
- Work closely with Planning lawyers to advise on landmark projects across various sectors.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in English planning system and environmental regulations.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in planning and environmental law.
- Strong understanding of English planning system and environmental regulations.
- Experience of planning appeals and inquiries.
- Agile/flexible working.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
