Job Description

The Supply Register Ltd is seeking a skilled Teaching Assistant to join our team of professionals working with The Greenwood Academies Trust. This is a temporary cover position, supporting full-time, part-time, and ad-hoc requirements across their Primary Schools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting Student Well-being: Provide care and attention to children's physical, social, and emotional needs.
  • Record Keeping and Review Meetings: Maintain accurate records and attend review meetings as required.
  • Adapting Lesson Plans: Use initiative to modify class work to suit individual student needs.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Work alongside other staff members to provide exceptional support to all students.
  • Safeguarding and Support: Recognize signs of distress and offer reassurance, forming positive relationships with children and supporting their confidence development.
  • SEN Support: Work with students with different Special Educational Needs requirements, either in small groups or one-on-one.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification (HLTA) or related Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with young people with Special Educational Needs is essential.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
  • Expectations: High expectations of all pupils and a commitment to collaborative work with other staff.
  • Safeguarding: Demonstrate an excellent understanding and commitment to Safeguarding.
  • DBS: Must have a DBS registered with the update service or be willing to process and pay for a new one.
