About the Role

Pearson is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Examiner to join our team of assessment experts. As a Principal Examiner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our GCSE Economics assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the timely delivery of assessments and maintain high standards of quality assurance
  • Lead and participate in standardisation and standardisation meetings
  • Develop and maintain mark schemes and guidance
  • Collaborate with supervisors and examiners to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Monitor and report on assessment performance and quality
  • Support in awarding activities and provide written responses to complaints
Requirements
  • Experience and knowledge of quality assurance and assessment practice
  • History of moderation and/or marking a regulated qualification
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the specification for GCSE Economics
