Join Warner Bros. Discovery as a key player in shaping the future of our direct-to-consumer business

As a Senior Counsel, Legal, Digital Media, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support to our global digital businesses, including Max and discovery+. You will work closely with key stakeholders to advise on a wide range of consumer, regulatory, and marketing law issues, including product development, buyflows, subscription models, and pricing.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal support to the direct-to-consumer business, including advising on commercial agreements, consumer law, and marketing regulations.
  • Work closely with the global compliance teams to ensure product compliance across all markets.
  • Draft, negotiate, and advise on commercial agreements, including promotional partnerships, events, consultancy services, influencers, sponsorships, marketing, creative agencies, advertising, and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with the international legal team to advise on digital distribution agreements with key affiliate and global partners.
  • Develop and maintain relevant policies and template agreements.

What We're Looking For:

  • A technically proficient lawyer with excellent understanding of product development, consumer law, and marketing experience.
  • Experience working in a digital media, technology, and/or broadcast media company would be a key advantage.
  • Good business and legal judgment, with a flexible and creative approach.
  • Must be a UK-qualified lawyer or common law equivalent with post-qualification experience.
  • Excellent academics and negotiation skills, with the ability to 'think outside the box' and recognize the potential impact on other areas of Warner Bros. Discovery's business or revenue streams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively within a globally distributed team and fast-paced business environment.
  • Clear and concise communication skills, with the ability to present and distil legally complex issues into practical and commercial solutions.
