Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a patient and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work with our Ofsted 'good' two form entry primary school in the Kenilworth area.

The successful candidate will be supporting a year 6 child on a 1:1 basis with ASD & challenging behaviour.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with special educational needs and be able to provide a safe and supportive learning environment.

The role will involve working closely with the class teacher and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans for the child.

The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The role is a long-term to permanent position and the ideal candidate will be available to start as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting a year 6 child with ASD & challenging behaviour on a 1:1 basis
  • Developing and implementing individualized learning plans for the child
  • Working closely with the class teacher and other support staff to ensure the child's needs are met
  • Providing a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Communicating effectively with the child, parents, and other staff members

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Patience and compassion when working with children with challenging behaviour
