Job Title: Assurance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Assurance Manager to join our team at UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the development and implementation of assurance processes to deliver our international research and innovation funds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the creation, implementation, and maintenance of an effective Assurance Management Framework to ensure the delivery of our international funds in line with best practice standards.
  • Provide guidance on risk and issue management and reporting within the IRI-PMO, including the development and implementation of processes and guidance to drive continuous improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the IRI-PMO and Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) to implement new Government policies and project management best practice standards.
  • Support a learning and development culture across the IRI-PMO and contribute to the development of a risk-aware culture.
Requirements:
  • Experience using project/programme management techniques and tools, including risk management, stakeholder engagement, governance, progress, time, and compliance.
  • A recognised project or programme management qualification, such as APM Project Fundamentals or PRINCE 2 Foundation.
  • Knowledge of policy development and implementation processes.
