About the Role

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality ICT lessons to students across key stages 3 and 4, fostering a love for the subject and promoting critical thinking skills.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lesson Planning and Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging and challenging ICT lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students, encouraging active participation and exploration of digital technologies.
  • Differentiated Instruction: Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their development, using this insight to inform future lesson plans.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the creation and implementation of the ICT curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant, challenging, and aligned with educational standards.
  • Classroom Management: Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and ideas, enhancing the overall quality of education provided.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Hold Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent, with a degree in ICT or a related field.
  • Experience and Skills: Possess strong subject knowledge, experience teaching ICT at the secondary level, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Additional Requirements: Be able to effectively manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment, contributing to the overall success of the school community.

Your Salary

This role offers a competitive salary based on your experience and qualifications, estimated to be around £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, plus benefits.
