We are seeking a highly skilled Public Health Strategist to lead the development and delivery of innovative health strategies in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering against our Adult Social Care and Health vision, championing health equity for our diverse population, and ensuring the council's statutory duties are met.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to shaping the public health agenda for the borough. As a Public Health Strategist, you will work closely with Members and Executive Directors to deliver on health and wellbeing priorities, overseeing health protection, health improvement, and health inequalities.

You will have a proven track record of leading public health programs, experience in addressing health challenges creatively, and registration with the GMC or UKPHR. You will also be able to lead and manage a team of professionals to achieve our health and wellbeing objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead public health strategies and initiatives
  • Champion health equity for our diverse population
  • Work alongside Members and Executive Directors to deliver health and wellbeing priorities
  • Ensure the council's statutory duties are met

Requirements
  • Registration with the GMC or UKPHR

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive a range of benefits, including access to training and development opportunities, a comprehensive pension scheme, and a generous annual leave allowance.
