Job Title: Behaviour Support Assistant
We are seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at Pink Tile Education Ltd. The successful candidate will have the ability to create positive environment plans and support individualized behaviour plans for children with challenging behaviour due to special educational needs or social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children in managing their behaviour in the classroom
- Create and implement individualized behaviour plans
- Quickly build strong relationships with students to foster trust
- Adapt routines and schedules to meet the needs of students
- Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour
- Collaborate with teachers to create a positive classroom environment
Essential Experience/Attributes:
- Previous experience working with children that have special educational needs
- Knowledge and experience in behaviour management strategies
- A DBS check registered on the update service or a willingness to obtain one
- A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work within a team
- The ability to be adaptable, remain calm in challenging situations, and respond to the needs of the pupils
- Must be able to understand and follow the school's safeguarding procedures and behavioural policies
- Qualifications relating to education, special educational needs, counselling, or psychology are not essential but will be looked upon favourably
