Elite Staffing is currently seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our client's team. Our client specializes in providing time-sensitive logistics solutions across the UK, focusing on pallet and general haulage.
As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for operating curtain-sided articulated vehicles to deliver and collect stock from various suppliers throughout the country. We also require drivers with experience in chilled distribution for dedicated depot-to-depot work.
Responsibilities:- Safely operate curtain-sided articulated lorries for deliveries and collections.
- Adhere to all relevant road transport regulations, including driver hours and the Road Transport Directive.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients.
- Ensure vehicles are maintained in a safe and roadworthy condition.
- Valid LGV Class 1 Licence (C+E).
- Current CPC and Tacho Card.
- Proven experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Competitive hourly rate (£18.00 - £22.00).
