Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a doctor with MRCPCH (or equivalent) to gain in-depth training in cystic fibrosis (CF) within the tertiary respiratory service at the Royal London Children's Hospital. The appointee will be responsible for the inpatient and outpatient management of children with CF and non-CF bronchiectasis.

Main Duties

The role of the post holder will include participating in the middle-grade respiratory ward cover, attending outreach clinics, and being responsible for CF annual reviews and management of the CF Registry. The post holder will also receive training in CF and respiratory paediatrics, including flexible bronchoscopy.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, teaching skills, and a PALS/APLS Certificate. Previous experience in audit/governance and paediatric respiratory medicine is desirable. The candidate should also have good organisational skills, good communication skills, and the ability to develop good working relationships.
