Long Term Ventilation Specialist Nurse (Band 7) - Paediatric Respiratory

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic member of staff to join the long term ventilation team in Royal Manchester Children's Hospital as a specialist practitioner.

The post holder will work closely with the Paediatric Respiratory medical team and lead consultant for Long Term Ventilation as well as nursing and AHP teams across the neonatal units, paediatric critical care and ward 83 as the designated ward for LTV.

The post holder will drive the safe discharge of LTV patients by working alongside local care organisation partners and ensure hospital admission time is reduced.

The post holder will be responsible for LTV patients within the RMCH footprint, including patients on ward 83 and commencing LTV pathways in Paediatric Critical Care.

The post holder will review, support and facilitate planned admissions for LTV patients who are currently living at home and provide clinical advice regarding ventilation to community and care teams.

The post holder will be responsible for LTV data returns and maintaining a focus on patient pathways, length of stay and admission avoidance.
